The Director of Music plans and coordinates the parish music ministry in order to facilitate the full and active participation of the congregation in the liturgical life of the church. The Director works with the Worship and music Committee to coordinate all aspects of worship and music, support the Director Handbell and Cherub Choirs, and consults with the Minister in performing this ministry to ensure the smooth functioning of relevant parish activities. As organist and choir director, the Director plans, selects, plays and leads music for the worship life of the congregation that is sensitive to congregational abilities, appreciative of Lutheran liturgical and musical forms and resourceful in using the varied repertoire available to the church today.
